Are You Overdue for a Temper Tantrum?

Toddlers stamping their feet and yelling in temper tantrums have something to teach us about moving negative emotions out of the body, says Dr. Michiyo. That’s why she developed the fun, fulfilling, and effective Samurai Anger Management process.

“All emotions accumulate in the body unless they can be externalized. I developed the Samurai Anger Management technique as a five-second, take-care-of-your-anger exercise.

Anger can accumulate in the abdomen and weigh you down. Stimulating your abdomen with your voice, movement, and breath work allows you to expel anger out of your body.”

Dr. Michiyo developed Samurai Anger Management to help people quickly disperse the anger, frustration, and stress they feel in the moment, and she also offers a similar technique to release sadness.

5 Seconds to Freedom from Anger

Samurai Anger Management is a quick and effective way to let anger out so you don’t have to carry it around with you, letting it wreak havoc on your life. Dr. Michiyo calls it “Samurai Anger Management” because she modeled it after the practice of samurais who expelled their anger while learning martial arts skills.

“Your emotions are forms of energy. When you don’t express them, they get stuck in your body, mind, and spirit. You need to express and expel them out of your system.”

Essentially, this is a stylized form of a temper tantrum, very much like the practice children instinctively know. But instead of having yours in a supermarket or other inappropriate place where you end up shut down and told never to do that again, you get to choose your private place to experience this release. Childhood temper tantrums can end up contributing to swallowed anger and hurt emotions when we are scolded. This is your opportunity to finally be free from anger, without reprimand.
